Berlin two-star hotels and pensions

Artemisia
The Frauenhotel Artemisia is for women only. Two of the 12 rooms have sinks only; the rest come with private WC and shower or bathtub. The Artemisia is next to the Konstanze Strasse U-Bahn station, 9 minutes from the Zoologischer Garten ("Zoo") railroad station.

Bella
The cheapest rooms at the Hotel-Pension Bella come lack private facilities; for more money, you can have a shower or shower and toilet. The pension is in the Wilmersdorf district, about 1.5 km (one mile) from the Zoo station.

Bellevue
The two-star Hotel-Pension Bellevue is 1.5 km (about a mile) from the Kurfürstendamm and the Bahnhof Zoo.

Elegia
Breakfast is served in your room at the Hotel-Pension Elegia, and you can get it in the afternoon if you sleep in after a long night on the town. The Elegia is in Charlottenberg. All rooms have Wi-Fi; some include private baths and TV.

Gaybed
Rooms are inexpensive at this B&B for gays near the Kulturzentrum. The house was built in 1895 and redecorated in 2000.

Hansablick
Double rooms at the Hotel Hansablick come in small, medium, and large versions, with extra beds on request. The hotel occupies a century-old building building near the Tiergarten.

Insel Rügenl
The Hotel-Pension Insel Rügen is within easy walking distance of the Ku'damm. The 1- to 5-bed rooms have shower and toilet.

Intermezzo Women's Hotel
This centrally located hotel offers 1- to 4-person rooms with shower at reasonable rates. Boys under 12 are permitted; older males will have to look elsewhere.

Korfu II
The Hotel-Pension Korfu occupies a turn-of-the-century apartment building not far from the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. If you're on a tight budget, request an "Einfache Ausstattung" room with shared bath.

Kurfürst
The Hotel-Pension Kurfürst is handy to the Ku'damm. All 23 rooms have shower and toilet.

Private Rooms

Privatzimmer unterm Dach
Gritta Schulz offers a "private room under the roof" that can accommodate one, two, or three guests. The building is located in Prenzlauer Berg, a trendy neighborhood in eastern Berlin within walking distance of the Alexanderplatz.
