Disney Cruise Line will return to Europe in June, 2013 with a three-month season of roundtrip cruises from Barcelona. Choices will include:

  • A "four-night Mediterranean getaway" on two dates in July and August, with port calls in Nice (Villefranche) and Palma de Mallorca.

  • A "seven-night Mediterranean cruise" on four dates in June and August, with port calls in Nice (Villefranche), Florence (La Spezia), Rome (Civitavecchia), and Naples.

  • Mickey Mouse in AthensA "12-night Mediterranean with Greece" itinerary on June 15 and July 13, including port calls in Nice (Villefranche), Florence (La Spezia), Rome (Civitavecchia), Athens (Piraeus), Ephesus (Kusadasi), Mykonos, and Valletta, Malta.

  • A "12-night Mediterranean with Venice" cruise on June 27 and July 25, with port visits in Nice (Villefranche), Florence (La Spezia), Rome (Civitavecchia), Naples, Venice (overnight), Dubrovnik, and Valletta, Malta.

All of Disney Cruise Line's Mediterranean voyages in 2013 will be on Disney Magic, an 83,000-GRT ship with 877 staterooms.

Like the cruise line's other ships, Disney Magic has a family emphasis, with a full deck devoted to children's activities. You'll also find plenty of familiar Disney themes on board, such as the "Pirate Cay" main dining room, "Pluto's Dog House," "Pinocchio's Pizzeria," and a "Goofy's Galley" quick-service eatery.
