Royal Suite photoScenic Tours is an Australian company that entered the European river-cruise market in 2008 with what it described as a "five-star" standard of accommodations and service. More than 80 percent of the suites and cabins have balconies, accommodations on the "Danube Deck" feature butler service, guests can choose between two onboard restaurants, and electrical outlets are designed for Australian plugs.

The company currently has five Jewel-class "Space-Ships." Itineraries on these ships include cruises on the Rhine, Danube, and Moselle. (Other itineraries combine cruises with touring by bus.) During 2012, an additional chartered ship--ms Symphony--is cruising in France.

Although Scenic Tours caters primarily to an Australian audience, it welcomes other English-speaking travelers and has pricing in U.S. and Canadian dollars as well as AUD. Fares include wine and beer at lunch and dinner, tips, shore excursions, and transfers.
