Liferafts and a winch line this quiet stretch of deck near the lifeboat stations. The Silver Whisper has four motorized lifeboats with a capacity of 590 persons, 14 inflatable rafts that seat 350, and two rescue boats. (Two of the lifeboats double as tenders in ports where the ship must anchor offshore.)
