Engine rooms
The Silver Whisper's two main engines are eight-cylinder
Wärtsilä diesels with a power of 7800 kw (10,140)
hp each. Two six-cylinder auxiliary engines can provide 2400 kw (3,120 hp)
apiece when needed.
The ship's two controlled-pitch,
four-bladed propellers measure 4 meters or 160 inches in diameter and are
supplemented by two electric bow thrusters with a combined power of 850 kw
(2,210 hp).
