The Humidor by Davidoff
Like its sister ship, the Silver Shadow, the Silver
Whisper has a "cigar club" managed by Davidoff of Switzerland. You can buy
and smoke cigars here, or you can just stop in for a free brandy or after-dinner
liqueur.
The Humidor is equipped with special air filters that do a
remarkable job of trapping smoke. If you stop in at a time when few people are
smoking (as we did), your nose may not be aware that it's in a cigar club.
Smoking on the Silver Whisper:
Smoking is permitted in suites and in designated public areas.
It's forbidden altogether in many rooms, including the Restaurant and the indoor
section of the Terrace Café.
We aren't smokers, but we weren't bothered by secondhand smoke
on the Silver Whisper. In fact, there was so little smoking (or else the
ship's ventilation was so efficient) that we never noticed whether we were
seated in smoking or non-smoking areas of public rooms.
