from MS Maribelle Photos

photo

Tournon

A statue of Marc Seguin stands in a park alongside the Rhône River. Seguin, an engineer from Tournon, invented the tubular steam boiler for steam locomotives. He also built the first railroad in France, the first suspension bridge over the Rhône, and the first steamboat on France's most important river.
