La Renaissance:
Day-by-Day Cruise Diary

From: A Barge Cruise in France

Halte Fluviale - Moret-sur-Loing

Saturday: Moret-sur-Loing to Paris

The next morning, we disembarked from La Renaissance (on right) and returned to Paris, which was a one-hour drive from Moret-sur-Loing.

On the way, Jean-Pierre was kind enough to stop at a ship chandler's in Saint-Mammès, where we bought the last remaining copies of Navicarte Waterway Guide No. 20, a canal and river atlas for boaters and barge operators. (The trilingual waterway guide, which is published by Éditions Grafocarte, is expensive but makes a great cruise souvenir.)

For more information about hotel-barge cruising on the Canale de Briare and the Canale du Loing, read our La Renaissance barge cruise review and visit European Waterways Ltd at GoBarging.com.
