On the second day of MSC Poesia's Eastern Mediterranean cruise, we passed the Port of Bari breakwater in time for our scheduled 10 a.m. arrival at the pier.

Bari is on the Adriatic, just above the heel on Italy's "boot," and is the largest city in Puglia. It's an important cargo and ferry port, and it's also a popular embarkation and disembarkation port for MSC's Eastern Mediterranean cruises. (Unlike most cruise lines, MSC lets passengers book roundtrip voyages from just about any port, and Bari is convenient for cruisers who live in Southern Italy.)
