After passing through the Dardanelles Strait and the Marmaris Sea during the night, we approached Istanbul's Karakoy Pier and Cruise Terminal just before 7:30 a.m.

This would be our longest port visit during MSC Poesia's 7-day Eastern Mediterranean cruise: We'd be in Istanbul for 9 hours, with at least 8 hours to spend on shore before returning to ship for its 5 p.m. departure.
