Arrival in Venice

MSC Poesia was scheduled to arrive at the Venice Cruise Terminal by 9 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, one week after our Eastern Mediterranean cruise began. When we woke up around 7 a.m. and checked the view from our balcony, the ship was already inside the Venetian Lagoon.

In the photo above, you can see two large motonavi or water buses--one on its way to Venice, the other coming from the city center. The Adriatic Sea is visible in the distance, through the Porto di Lido.
