Silver Spirit Cruise PhotosFrom: Silver Spirit Cruise Review Cádiz (2)
We continued into the Old Town, following a purple stripe on the pavement to Cádiz Cathedral. (On a previous visit to Cádiz, Durant had climbed one of the towers, but we felt little desire to make the ascent on a rainy morning.)
Instead, we headed for the Mercado Central, which was built in 1837 and is said to be the oldest covered market in Spain. (Not all of the market is covered, however, so bring your umbrella if it's raining.)
Despite the weather, the vendors seemed cheerful and
customers were checking out the beautifully-displayed fruit, vegetables, and
flowers.
