Edinburgh Airport Transportation

Edinburgh International Airport is no Heathrow or O'Hare, but the pint-sized gateway has better--and cheaper--ground transportation than many larger airports.

EDI is in the suburb of Turnhouse (home of the Turnhouse Golf Club), 8 miles or 12 miles west of Edinburgh near the A8 motorway to Glasgow. Although there's no train between the airport and the city, frequent Airlink express buses serve Waverly Station with intermediate stops in Edinburgh West, and taxis are a practical option if you're headed for an outlying neighborhood or wrestling with heavy luggage.
