The Edinburgh Tour

If you don't need the City Sightseeing Tour's multilingual commentary, and if you don't mind a slightly shorter bus route, The Edinburgh Tour is a good all-around choice. It substitutes a live human guide for the recorded tour information, which means that the commentary and the sights you're passing will always be in synch. (With a recorded tour, you may be told to look at a monument that the bus passed half a block earlier.)

Like the City Sightseeing Tour's red bus, The Edinburgh Tour covers the most popular sights in the New Town and along the Royal Mile. However, it leaves out the Grassmarket-Greyfriars-Bristo Square loop.

For more information, or to book online, visit the Lothian Buses Edinburgh Tour page.
