Europebyair.com Flight Pass

ABOVE: "Take the Airbus and leave the flying to
us."
European
air travel has always been high-priced, compared to flying in North America. That's why
most U.S. and Canadian visitors fly into a gateway city like London, Amsterdam, or
Frankfurt, then use trains or rental cars to get around Europe.
Now there's another option: the Europebyair.com Flight Pass, a coupon system that brings the cost of intra-European air
travel down to US $99 (plus taxes) per flight.
How it works
Before you leave home, you order Europebyair.com Flight Pass coupons for US
$99
each, with a minimum order of three. Shipping is extra.
(Note: If you're using a local travel agent to make your vacation
arrangements, you can buy Flight Pass coupons through the agent instead of ordering
online.)
Europebyair.com Flight Passes are valid for 120 days, and they
can be used on some two dozen European national and regional airlines that serve
more than 150 cities
in 30 European countries. Simply mention that
you're using a Europebyair.com Flight Pass when you make your reservations, and book well in advance
so you won't be stuck in Bari when you're due to arrive in Milan.
Key caveats
Europebyair.com Flight Pass coupons are available only to
citizens and permanent residents of the U.S. and Canada. If you live anywhere
else, you're out of luck--although Europebyair.com does offer "Fiesta Fares"
on many routes within Europe for €196 return.
You can reserve flights when you're in Europe, but you need to order the
passes before you leave home. (Coupons must be shipped to addresses in the U.S. and
Canada.)
You're responsible for any airport taxes, which you'll
have to pay at the check-in counter on the day you leave.
If you're a "no-show," you'll lose a pass and be
responsible for taxes on the missed flight.
Is it a good deal?
The Europebyair.com Flight Pass can save you time and help you make the most of your
vacation. But it isn't as great a value as it may appear at first glance, because flights
aren't available between all cities. In some cases, you'll need to change at a
connecting point and use a coupon for each leg of your journey. And a few
destinations, such as the Canary Islands, require two coupons for a total cost
of $198 plus taxes.
Bottom line: The Europebyair.com Flight Pass can be a good value if:
The pairs of cities on its destination list fit your vacation
plans.
Each flight is long enough to provide significant time savings (if not
cost savings) over going by train.
You can't get a better deal from one of the low-cost
airlines that have sprung up in Europe over the last year or two.
