Sark

No cars are allowed on Sark, which is part of the Bailiwick of Guernsey and is ruled by a benevolent fuedal lord known as the Seigneur of Sark. The island (actually two islands, joined by a causeway) is just two square miles in size, with a population of 550.

Birds and butterflies make Sark popular with nature enthusiasts; other attractions include beaches, art galleries, craft shops, the Seigneurie gardens, and concerts during the tourist season. But Sark's main draw is its quaintly old-fashioned rural atmosphere, which offers a pleasant break from a world of urban hustle and suburban sprawl.

Ferries to the Channel Islands

Channel Hoppers 
Fast passenger-only vessels connect Southampton and Torquay to the Channel Islands, Cherbourg, and St. Malo. Possible dead link.

Condor Ferries
Travel by high-speed or traditional ferry between England and the Channel Islands. Routes also connect Jersey, Guernsey, Sark, and St. Malo.

This 95-year-old company offers car/passenger and passenger-only routes between France and the islands of Jersey, Guernsey, and Sark.
