Steve's Digicams: EasyShare DX6440
This favorable review is loaded with technical details, LCD screen captures, sample photos, and other information for technophiles.

Imaging Resource: Kodak DX6340
The camera in this review is the less expensive 3.1-Megapixel version of the DX6440. Except for resolution, the two cameras are virtually identical.

Kodak Web links

Kodak.com: EasyShare DX6440 Digital Camera
Read about the camera, view a Flash demo, and see information about the Camera Dock 6000 and the Printer Dock 6000. (Note: In the U.S. and Canada, the camera dock is included with the camera. If you buy the printer dock, save the camera dock for use as a battery recharger while traveling.)

If you don't plan on making huge enlargements, you can save about 30% with the 3.1-Megapixel DX6340 (see review link above). However, the DX6340 doesn't include a dock, recharger, or NiMH batteries.

If you want a 10X zoom, a big 2.2-inch LCD, and an electronic viewfinder, the new Kodak EasyShare DX6490 is worth a look. (I'd also suggest reading my review of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1, which has lower resolution but an f/2.8 optically stabilized 12X zoom lens.)

For more information on other digital cameras from Kodak, visit Kodak.com. Readers from outside the United States can find local-content Kodak Web sites in their own languages on the Kodak Worldwide page.
