Accommodations in the St. Ives area

Hotels, guesthouses, and apartments

Atlantic Hotel, Carbis Bay
Carbis Bay is a mile out of St. Ives; you can reach the old fishing village by bus or via a cliff walk.

Howards Hotel, Carbis Bay
All 22 guestrooms have central heating at Howards Hotel, which also features a heated swimming pool. The hotel has a licensed restaurant and free parking on the grounds.

Hollies Hotel
The Dowland family's cozy bed-and-breakfast is in a residential area near Porthminster Beach. The granite house has ten rooms, many with ocean views.

The Old Count House
Tin miners were once paid their wages at the granite "count house," which is now a B&B with nine rooms. In the old days, mine shareholders dined here; today, breakfast and an optional dinner are served to guests. See review.

Old Vicarage Hotel
Eight guest rooms occupy this Victorian rectory, which is located half a mile from the town center. Free parking makes it a good bet for travelers with cars.

Porthminster View
This seven-bedroom guesthouse overlooks Porthminster Beach. Rates include a full English breakfast, and a vegetarian menu is available.

Sail Lofts St. Ives
These luxury self-catering apartments and cottages offer concierge services. Sail Lofts also has an Ocean Spa that provides massages and organic skin care.

Seagulls St. Ives
A dramatic photo of St. Ives and its beach are on the home page of this hilltop hotel, which offers views of the town and the ocean. The converted Victorian house was built for 19th Century steamship captains.

Sloop Inn
A harborside location, a lively pub-restaurant, and a stone-and-slate building dating back to 1312 make this a popular choice for extroverts with a taste for tradition.

Tregorran Hotel, Carbis Bay
Family suites are available at this "Mediterranean-style" hotel, which has a heated swimming pool and is within walking distance of the West Country Golf Course.

Westcliff Guest House
Westcliff overlooks Porthmeor Beach and is handy to beach and cliff paths. The St. Ives branch of the Tate Gallery is a few steps away.

The Western Hotel
One of St. Ives's original coaching houses is now a hotel. It's located in the center of town and has two public bars that are listed in The Good Beer Guide.

Holiday park and self-catering

The Cottage Boutique
This well-designed, easy-to-use booking site lets you search for St. Ives holiday cottages by arrival date, number of guests, and whether the properties are pet-friendly.

Ayr Holiday Park
Chalets, holiday apartments, and caravan holiday homes are available for rent; the park also has pitches for tents, motorhomes, and touring caravans. The season runs from Easter (or April 1) until October 31.

St. Ives Holidays
