Back in the center of town, the Majestic Café has been serving coffee, pastries, and meals since 1921. It's on the Rua Santa Caterina, a major shopping street. The café's Web site mentions that, when J.K. Rowlings lived in Porto, she spent many days writing Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in the Majestic Café.
