transportation to Kensington Palace from most parts of the city.
Visitor information
Hours and ticket prices. Kensington Palace opens at 10
a.m. every day of the year. Closing times vary with the season. (Note that you can buy combination tickets that include Hampton Court Palace
and/or the Tower of London, and you can save money by ordering tickets in
advance by Internet or telephone.) Wheelchair access is limited to the dress
collections on the ground floor.
Transportation. Kensington Palace is in Kensington
Gardens, on the edge of Hyde Park. The nearest Underground stations are
Queensway or Notting Hill Gate (Central Line) and High Street Kensington
(District/Circle line).
Shops. The palace has two shops: one that carries the
usual range of postcards, books, and gift items, and the Yellow Drawing Room,
which sells upscale "lifestyle" products such as dinnerware, cutlery, and
linens. Tickets aren't required to visit the shops.
For a detailed
guide to the palace and its attractions, visit the
Kensington Palace section of the Historic Royal Palaces
