Siena: The local branch of Spizzico, an Italian
self-service pizza chain owned by Autogrill,
is on the Piazza del Campo next to the Palazzo Pubblico. The best deals are the
combination plates that include a large slice of pizza, a drink, and another
food item such as French fries, a fruit salad, or a pastry. When your feet are
tired from sightseeing and you want a place where you can grab a light meal, use
the restroom, and relax in pleasant surroundings for a modest cash outlay,
Spizzico is the place to go.
The same management operates the self-service Ristorante Ciao,
which you can enter through Spizzico or an entrance next door.
