American Airlines to launch Dallas-Madrid service

Daily nonstops to Spanish capital begin May 1

NEW YORK -- American Airlines will launch service from Dallas/Fort Worth to Madrid, Spain next year. Beginning May 1, 2009, American will inaugurate daily nonstop flights between Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport (DFW) and Madrid Barajas International Airport (MAD) aboard 225-seat Boeing 767-300 aircraft in two-class configuration.

American Airlines' flight #56 will depart Dallas/Ft. Worth at 5:35 PM, arriving in Madrid at 10 AM the following morning, with a flight time of 9 hours 25 minutes.

The return flight on American #37 will depart Madrid at 1:10 PM, arriving back at DFW at 4:45 PM the same day – a flight of about 10 hours and 35 minutes.
