Heidelberg introduces "personalized package deals" for
independent travelers
HEIDELBERG, 2008 - How about a visit to Heidelberg that includes tickets to a
play? Or would you prefer a family-oriented program? A holiday of leisure, or a
round of activities?
Heidelberg Marketing, with its new and energetic Executive Director Vera
Cornelius, shows that independent travel and inclusive packages need not be a
contradiction in terms. For the 2008 season, Heidelberg presents many new
package tours:
"Heidelberg in action! On foot and by bike!"
Heidelberg is a bicycle-friendly city. For cyclists, we offer a 1- to 3-day
arrangement that includes the rental bike and a cycling map. Dedicated wanderers
can book a walking tour through the UNESCO Geopark and a boat trip with hiking
stops along the way.
"Heidelberg Relaxes!" and "Heidelberg Exclusive!"
"Pure Pampering" is the motto of these two arrangements. The packages include
overnight stays in first-class hotels, a visit to the Spa facilities of the
"Kurfürstentherme," and a 4-course dinner in an Old Town restaurant.
"Heidelberg – Curtain Going Up!"
This package combines a stay in Heidelberg with a cultural highlight of your
choice. Choose between a theatrical production, a concert, or the famous
Heidelberg Castle Festival.
"Student Life in Heidelberg"
This special package in Germany's oldest university city, combined in summer
with a production of the world-famous operetta "The Student Prince,"can't be
missed!
"Heidelberg for Large and Small!"
A ride on the mountain railway funicular, a visit to hands-on Explo
Heidelberg or the Heidelberg Zoo, an indoor playground or the mountaintop
Fairytale Paradise – this arrangement offers fun and excitement for the whole
family. And if parents want a little time for themselves, they may add on a
romantic dinner for two, while an experienced babysitter keeps the children
company in their hotel room.
Finally, the classic "In the Heart of Heidelberg" (including hotel,
guided walking tour of the Old Town, and a trip on the Neckar in Heidelberg's
solar boat) and "Winter Dream – stay for 3 nights, pay for 2" are on our
program as perennial favourites.
