 Rome's Miracle Players debut The Life of
Michelangelo
The Miracle Players are back at the Roman Forum for their 11th season
with The Life of Michelangelo, a new comedy written by Denise
McNee.
Michelangelo is perhaps the most celebrated and renowned artist in
the world today, but how much do you really know about the painter of
the Sistine Chapel, the sculptor of the statue David, his rivalry with
Raphael and his relationship with Pope Julius II? In just 40 minutes
(and a lot of wig changes), the Miracle Players once again entertain
their public with historical facts from Rome's history and the lives of
its protagonists. The Miracle Players are: Rob Allyn, Eric Bassanesi,
Gabrielle Chiararo, Denise McNee, and Dyanne White.
The Miracle Players will be performing The Life of Michelangelo
every Friday at 7:30 pm (sharp) from June 19 till August 7, 2009 in
front of the Mamertine prison at the Roman Forum (just behind the big
white building in Piazza Venezia).
