To enter, fans can go to: http://www.visitbritain.us/campaigns/bbca. Cardiff, the capital city of Wales, is home to multiple locations where Doctor Who and Torchwood were shot. In "New Earth," the debut episode of Doctor Who's second season, the main corridor and ground floor of the alien hospital is actually the Millennium Centre, located in the heart of Cardiff Bay. Torchwood's first episode features "The Hub" located below the Millennium Centre, while Gwen and Captain Jack can be seen on the roof of the building at the end of the episode. The Welsh capital's Millennium Stadium has also been used in various Doctor Who episodes, including "The Christmas Invasion," in which it served as the UNIT headquarters. Cardiff's beautiful Dyffryn Gardens have been used to portray the grounds of the Versailles Palace in Doctor Who's second season. Torchwood's Captain John blows up Cardiff from atop Cardiff Castle, while in a different episode Owen takes a running leap off Mermaid Quays and into the Cardiff Bay.
