Glockengiesserstrasse

The most famous Gänge or pedestrian passages in Lübeck are off the Glockengiesserstrasse, just north of the Katherinenkirche. Look for the coat of arms and nameplate of the Johann Glandorp, a wealthy merchant, councillor, and philanthropist who built two Wohnstifte (residental courtyards) for widows in 1612.
