Montmartre 4- and 3-star hotels

From: Hotels in Montmartre

ABOVE: The 4-star Terrass Hotel overlooks Montmartre Cemetery and is close to restaurants, cafés, and shopping.

Four-star hotels

The Terrass Hotel is at the corner of rue Joseph de Maistre and rue Caulaincourt, at the western edge of Montmartre's neighborhood dining and shopping district. Montmartre Cemetery is just across the street, and other attractions such as Sacré-Coeur and the Place du Tertre are easy to reach on foot or via the Montmartrobus, which stops nearby. The hotel's seventh-floor restaurant serves meals on an open-air terrace in the summer months.

Hotel Le Squara's 19 rooms have free Wi-Fi, and many of them feature bold designs. The boutique hotel is at 3 rue Lepic, just north of the Boulevard de Clichy and a very short walk from the Blanche Métro station.

The 54-room Holiday Inn Paris Montmartre is on the rue Damrémont, near the northeastern edge of Montmartre Cemetery. The location is just a bit on the outskirts of the Butte for our tastes, but the hotel does offer a lobby bar, free Wi-Fi in public areas, accessible rooms, and garage parking.

Three-star hotels

Hotel 29 Lepic has 39 rooms and great guest ratings. Its location in the heart of the Butte's lively south slope is hard to beat. Free Wi-Fi is a pleasant bonus.

Hotel Basss lies directly on the rue des Abbesses, within an easy walk of the Blanche and Abbesses Métro stations. The 41-room hotel has modern furnishings and free Wi-Fi.

Le Relais Montmartre is rated "excellent" by Booking.com guests. The 26-room hotel is in a quiet side street just off the Rue Lepic on the south side of the Butte, not far from the Rue des Abbesses. Rates include Wi-Fi Internet access.

photoNorth of Sacré-Coeur, on the rue Lamarck, the Hotel De Flore offers double and twin rooms on a street with apartments and neighborhood businesses such as grocery stores, a hairdresser, and a laundromat. A public parking facility is 150 meters away.
