Vedettes de Paris

Paname photoThis ISO 4001-certified company uses smaller vessels than most of its competitors do, and its vintage boats--such as the Paname, shown at right--have special appeal for boatlovers, romantics, and traditionalists.

One-hour "Discovery" sightseeing cruises depart one to three times per hour, depending on the season. Vedettes de Paris also has an evening "Champagne Cruise," a "Petunia' Cruise" for families (French narration only), and other theme cruises that vary from year to year.

electric boat photoThe company hopes to introduce electric boats to the Seine in the near future; it's already running two navettes electriques on the Canal St-Denis for commuters between Paris and Aubervilliers.

Location:

Vedettes de Paris has a ticket office at Port de Suffren, just to the west of the Pont de l'Alma on the Eiffel Tower side of the river. (You can see a map on the company's Web site.)
