Civitavecchia Photo GalleryFrom: Civitavecchia (Port of Rome)
When it isn't serving as a venue for fashion shows and music spectacles, the Port of Civitavecchia is bustling with cruise ships, car ferries, containerships, and bulk carriers. The port's south entrance is at the foot of the Viale Garibaldi in downtown Civitavecchia, between the Forte Michelangelo fortress and McDonald's. This is the gate that you'll be using if you arrive from the Civitavecchia railroad station or a waterfront hotel.
