Rome Airport Hotels - Fiumicino

From: Rome Accommodations Directory

If you're dropping off a rental car before leaving from Rome's Leonardo da Vinci Airport, consider spending your last night at one of the hotels listed on this page. (One hotel is at the airport itself; the others are close by, mostly in the Rome suburb of Fiumicino, where the airport is located.)

Otherwise, you can just as easily stay in the city--for example, at a hotel near Termini Station--and catch the Leonardo Express train to the airport on your day of departure.

At the airport:

Hilton Rome Airport
A covered skyway with a moving sidewalk connects this four-star, 517-room hotel to the terminals at Leonardo da Vinci Airport. Rates are higher than at the hotels below, but the convenience may be worth the extra cost if you have an early flight. (Tip: To save money on lunch or dinner, follow the covered walkway to the airport restaurants and snack bars in Terminal B.)

Near the airport:

The first hotel listed is a four-star property; the others have three-star ratings. (Please note that, in Italy, star ratings are based on a hotel's services and amenities, rather than being indicators of quality.)

Courtyard by Marriott Rome Airport
This new American-style hotel is only one kilometer from the airport, which is five minutes away by taxi or the hotel's inexpensive shuttle.

Hotel Cancelli Rossi
The Cancelli Rossi opened in 1991 and has 50 rooms. It's located out the outskirts of Fiumicino, about 2 km or 1.25 miles from the airport. An airport shuttle stops at the adjacent Hotel Mach 2 (listed below).

Club Hotel Isola Sacra
Leonardo da Vinci Airport is just 2 km from this hotel. Four rooms are equipped for disabled guests.

Euro House Fiumicino
This all-suite hotel has studio and one-bedroom flats with kitchenettes and balconies. Breakfast is available for an extra fee, and you can catch a shuttle to the airport from the hotel.

Euro House Inn
Most of the guest comments on this newish hotel have been flattering, and an airport shuttle is available at extra cost. Several restaurants, including one owned by the hotel, are located nearby.

Hotel Mach 2
Airport shuttles run every 20 minutes during the day and evening (except Sundays and holidays) from this hotel at the edge of town. The hotel has 33 single, double, and twin rooms and a restaurant.

Hotel Riviera
The Riviera offers single, double, triple, and quad rooms in a location just 50 meters from the sea. The Sardinia and Ponza ferries are nearby.

Hotel Roma Airport Rooms and Suites by Charme and Relax
This hotel is in the center of Fiumicino, close to the bus terminal and the Sardinia and Ponza ferry landings. The railroad station is 1 km away, and the airport is 3 km from the hotel. The Hotel Roma's guest rooms include singles, doubles, triples, and suites.

Motel Corsi
Rates are extremely reasonable at the Motel Corsi, which is north of the airport in Torreimpietra. It's a good choice if you have an early departure from FCO, are driving a rental car, and don't want to break the budget.
