"AUSTRIAN RAIL PASSES" Page 1, 2

Costs for children

In Austria, children from 6 to 12 years old travel for half-fare; kids under 6 are free. In the other countries covered by the European East Pass, children from 4 to 12 pay half-fare and kids under 4 are free.

Other railpass options

The ÖBB (Austria's national railroad) is covered by Eurailpass. You can also buy a customized Eurail Selectpass that's good for three, four, or five adjoining countries. If you're traveling extensively in Western Europe, either of these passes is likely to be a better deal than the Austrian Rail Pass or Europe East Pass.
