Location, hours, and admission fees

Der Berg Ruft! (a.k.a. "The Call of the Mountains!")  takes place in Altenmarkt, a hiking and ski resort in the Radstädter Tauern about 70 km (44 mi) southeast of Salzburg. From Salzburg, take the train to Altenmarkt or catch an express to Radstadt and walk or catch a local bus to to Altenmarkt. By car, take the A10 Autobahn to the Altenmarkt exit. Hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily through October 15; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday from mid-October until December 19; and 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday from December 20 through April 8. Summer hours for 2001 haven't been announced but are likely to be 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily.

Tickets cost ATS 160 for adults and ATS 80 for children and teens from ages 8-18. A family ticket for ATS 360 covers two adults and any number of children. Discounts are available for groups and members of alpinist associations. Admission is free with the Salzburger SummerJoker card.
