Alilaguna and Water Taxi - Venice Airport

Step-by-step directions to the boat piers

Arrivals terminal photo

Step 1:

sign photoGo outside the Arrivals terminal and turn left. Walk to the end of the terminal's sidewalk and look for the sign for water taxis and the Alilaguna water bus. The walkway to the piers is straight ahead, beyond the brick column in the photo above.

porter service photoYou'll also see a sign for the very expensive porter service outside the terminal. Unless you're desperate, roll your wheeled suitcase behind you or get a luggage trolley. (You'll need a coin to unlock a luggage trolley; see our Venice Airport Luggage Carts article for details.)

Need a car in Europe?

Auto Europe guarantees the lowest rental rates for standard cars, sports cars, SUVs, luxury cars, chauffered sedans, and RVs. Its Web site also has driving information for 38 countries.

If you live outside the EU, a tax-free Renault or Peugeot tourist lease can be cheaper than renting. Minimum driver age is 18, there' s no upper age limit, and rates include insurance. See: Short-term car leasing.
