Step 3:

water taxi photoAfter 7 minutes or so, you'll reach the "Water Taxi to Venice" pier. If an attendant is on hand, say that you want a water taxi; otherwise, go to the pier and negotiate directly with a boat driver. The fare to Venice is normally in the €80-100 range, depending on the location of your hotel and how many people are traveling with you.

You can request a fare quotation and book a water taxi ahead of time from the Consorzio Motoscafi Venezia, a cooperative of water-taxi operator with more than 100 boats on call:

  • Phone: 6+39 (0)41 522 2303 (24 hours a day)
  • E-mail: info@motoscafivenezia.it

Important: If you want to take the much less expensive Alilaguna airport boat to Venice, forget about water taxis and continue to Step 4.
