Transavia, formerly Basiq-Air, is a Netherlands-based budget airline that has several flights a day between Amsterdam and Venice. In reality, the "Venice (Treviso)" in Transavia's timetable is Treviso Airport, in a city that lies 19 miles or 30 km from Venice.

If you're going from Treviso to Venice, your best choice of ground transportation is the connecting ATVO Eurobus service.

Bus times coincide with Transavia (Basiq-Air) arrivals and departures, and the fare is only €5 one-way or €9 roundtrip. This is far cheaper than a taxi. (It's also much less expensive than another service, Shuttle Direct, which should be avoided unless you want to pay more money for ground transportation than you may have spent on your air ticket.)

Buy your ticket at the ATVO desk in the airport and validate it in the ticket-stamping machine on the bus. (If you need to buy a ticket from Venice to Treviso, visit the ATVO ticket office in the Piazzale Roma.)

The bus trip takes 1 hour 10 minutes. This travel time includes stops at railroad station and the Piazza 27 Ottobre in Mestre, an industrial suburb of Venice on the mainland. (From the Mestre railroad station, you can catch high-speed through trains to other cities in Italy.)

After pausing in Mestre, the bus crosses the causeway to Venice, which is several kilometers offshore in the Venice Lagoon. The end of the line is the Piazzale Roma, where you can walk or catch a water bus (vaporetto) to your hotel.

Use the following links to plan your connections and trip:

ATVO Eurobus Service/Basiq-Air
Click "Eurobus/BASIQ-AIR Treviso Airport-Venezia" in the left column of this ATVO page. You'll then see links to an English-language bus timetable, a map of the route, and a terminal map for Treviso's San Giuseppe Airport. Other links provide information on ATVO Ryanair buses and buses to the Lido di Jesolo.
