Burano: Shops on the island of Burano in the
Venetian Lagoon. While you're
on Burano, be sure to visit the Lacemaking Museum in the Scuola dei Merletti on
the main square. (Lacemaking was once a major industry on Burano, and a small
number of women keep the tradition alive.)
