Convenient when:
You're looking for a moderately-priced hotel along the San Marco
waterfront, with the option of having a canal or lagoon view from your
room.
A Tribute to Music is technically a residenza, as opposed to a
hotel, but the difference is academic: The property has a great
location, air conditioning, and rooms that are larger than you'd find in
many Venetian three-star hotels. Breakfast is included in the rate (as
it is at most Venice hotels), but Wi-Fi is extra.

The top photo shows the Riva degli Schiavoni, a
waterfront promenade that faces St. Mark's Basin east of the Doge's
Palace. A Tribute to Music is about midway along the waterfront,
just to the right of the green awnings.
