looking for an attractive, moderately-priced hotel that's only a few
minutes from Venice's prime sightseeing and shopping territory, but
you'd prefer to be away from the crowds.
The Best Western Hotel Ala is a longtime favorite of guidebook authors
and Venetophiles, thanks to its attractive setting and traditional
Venetian atmosphere. It's also easy to reach, either on foot from the
Giglio
vaporetto stop (which is close by on the Grand Canal) or by water
