on the Riva degli Schiavoni, overlooking the St. Mark's waterfront near
the Piazza San Marco. Closest

Convenient when:
 You've always dreamed of staying at a hotel like the Danieli or the
Metropole, but you're still waiting to win the lottery.
 If location means more to you than luxury or prestige, the Wildner will
do you proud: Some rooms have views of the water, and so does the
year-round terrace restaurant where breakfast is served. (Word of warning: The
Wildner doesn't have an elevator, so it may not be your best choice if
you're traveling with heavy luggage or can't manage stairs.)
