If you're departing from the pier at San Basilio, which handles small- to medium-size ships, you can take Alilaguna's Blue Line to Zattere, which is a short, level walk (with two one small bridges) from the San Basilio cruise terminal. For more information, see our Venice Airport Boats article. Because Alilaguna's schedules change from time to time, we suggest double-checking the Alilaguna timetable at www.alilaguna.it immediately before your trip.
Water taxis
For more information, read our Venice Water Taxis article and heed the Warning About Water Taxis in our Venice Travel Blog if you're elderly, infirm, or unable to lift your luggage into a boat from the pier. Finding the boat piers at the airport
It's easy to miss the covered walkway if you're unfamiliar with the airport, so see our illustrated step-by-step directions to avoid confusion. Back to: Getting to the port - Introduction
