ABOVE: The Hotel Continental is only 200 meters from the Treviso Railroad Station (shown here).

If you have an early-morning Ryanair or Transavia flight out of Treviso Airport, you may find it worthwhile to stay in that city instead of taking the Treviso airport bus from the Piazzale Roma in Venice. Or maybe you'd just like to spend the night in a prosperous, attractive small city with a walled medieval center and a good supply of fashionable restaurants, cafs, bars, and shops.

Our Italian booking partner, Venere, lists a number of hotels in Treviso, and all are quite a bit cheaper than comparable hotels in Venice.

  • Tip: To reach Treviso from the airport, catch the ACTT city bus (Line 6), which will take  you to the Treviso railroad station.

Hotel listings:

Hotel Continental ****
This conveniently-located hotel near the railroad station hasn't changed much since it opened in 1958, so bring your Al Martino and Dean Martin records along when you check in. (See our illustrated Hotel Continental review.)

Hotel Carlton ****
The Carlton, like the Continental, is handy for train and bus travelers. It's on the edge of the city center, near the railroad station.

Venere Hotel Listings for Treviso
Many of these hotels are on Treviso's outskirts, so choose your hotel carefully unless you've got a car or don't mind relying on city buses.

If you're flying Ryanair, Transavia, Wizzair, Germanwings, or Air Arabia to Venice, you'll arrive and depart at Treviso's Canova Airport. ATVO buses run between the airport and Venice's Piazzale Roma.
