Liefdefjord and Monaco Glacier

The Nordstjernen moved slowly into the fjord ice and stopped. The captain announced that the ship would spend an hour in the ice, where we could enjoy the scenery, the silence, and the wildlife (including three polar bears that were on the ice, hoping to feast on seals). Several of the guides gave lectures on glaciers in different languages as we enjoyed the view from the foredeck.
