Just beyond Kadiköy Pier was the Istanbul Gar, or Istanbul central railroad station, which was conveniently located on the waterfront. (Trains to Istanbul Gar loop around the tip of land that contains Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, and the Blue Mosque before ending up at the station.)
