Behind Langelinie and across a small harbor was a DFDS Seaways ferry,
Pearl of Scandinavia, which was getting ready for a 5 p.m. departure
to Oslo, Norway.
The ms Pearl of Scandinavia entered service in 1989 and was renovated
in 2001. It can transport 2,168 passengers and 350 cars. (The other DFDS Seaways
ferry on the Copenhagen-Oslo route is ms Crown of Scandinavia, which was
built in 1994 with room for 1,940 passengers and 450 cars.)
