A port-intensive cruise is a bit like a chef's tasting dinner: As you cruise along Europe's coastline, you can sample a menu of countries and ports that you might never get around to visiting under normal circumstances. The Silversea Cruises 10-day "Scotland's Tattoo" itinerary aboard the M/V Silver Whisper was a case in point. Silversea's August, 2003 cruise offered port calls not only at popular destinations like Edinburgh and Zeebrugge, but also in less touristed places such as the Outer Hebrides and Londonderry, Northern Ireland. So, with memories of our previous summer's Silver Whisper Mediterranean cruise still fresh in our minds, we jumped at the chance to rejoin the ship for a cruise from Copenhagen to London.
