The four-star Hotel A la Commedia has a nearly perfect location:
It's close to the Rialto Bridge (the main bridge across Venice's Grand Canal), yet it's away from crowds, noise, and boat traffic on a pretty little square behind the Goldoni Theatre.
But location isn't the only thing the A la Commedia has going for it:
The hotel has a rooftop terrace with bar that you're likely to find irresistible, Wi-Fi is free, and the A la Commedia is one of the few hotels in Venice that is fully accessible to guests with wheelchairs.
The Hotel A la Commedia is only a short walk from the Alilaguna Linea Arancio airport boat's pier at Rialto, with no bridges to cross.
As you leave Boat Platform "A" (where the Alilaguna airport boat stops), turn right onto the Calle Riva Carbon.
Walk a short distance along the waterfront to the Calle Carbon, a narrow street that runs inland from the Grand Canal.
Within a block or so, you'll notice a building with a sign reading "Hotel A la Commedia" up ahead. Turn left just before the hotel and go into the Corte del Teatro, where you'll find the hotel's entrance.
