The
Residenza
Ca' Zanardi is an old-fashioned B&B within the Palazzo Ca' Zanardi, a 16th
Century palace that is also used for exhibits, weddings, masquerade balls, and
other events. All seven rooms have private baths, are furnished with antiques,
and offer free Wi-Fi. Guests have access to the palazzo's courtyard and terrace.
Getting to Residenza Ca' Zanardi:
The easiest way to reach Ca' Zanardi is to take the Alilaguna Linea Blu airport boat to Fondamente Nove. (Late in the evening, some Alilaguna Linea Arancio boats also stop at F. Nove.)
The Alilaguna boat will deliver you to pontile or pontoon "A," one of four waterbus platforms along the Fondamente Nove waterfront. From there, follow these walking directions:
As you leave the pier, turn right and immediately look for a narrow street on your left: the Salizada dei Spechieri. Follow the street inland past the Gesuiti Church and through the Campo dei Gesuiti to a canal.
Turn right immediately before the bridge. Walk along the Fondamenta Zen to the next bridge (called the Ponte Santa Caterina o Zanardi).
Turn left and cross that bridge, which will lead you into the Calle Zanardi.
Look for double wooden doors in a stone wall with the name "Ca' Zanardi" above. A panel with brass nameplates and doorbells is to the left of the doors; ring the bell for the Residenza Ca' Zanardi. (The building number is 4132.)
