The four-star Hotel Gabrielli Sandwirth is just beyond the crush of luxury hotels on the Riva degli Schiavoni.
Its 14th Century Venetian Gothic palazzo faces the St. Mark's Basin waterfront, about 10 minutes on foot from the Piazza San Marco.
(The Gabrielli was featured in a 1992 movie, Blame It on the Bellboy, which starred Richard Griffiths, Dudley Moore, and Bronson Pinchot.)
As you leave the Alilaguna Linea Blu waterbus pier, turn left and walk to the stone bridge.
Cross the bridge.
The Gabrielli Sandwirth will be on your right, facing the water.
Take the Alilaguna Blue Line airport boat from the cruise basin to Arsenale. (The price will be about half of the fare to the airport.)
Follow the directions above.
Leave the terminal by the main doors and walk to the wooden bridge.
Cross the bridge and walk a short distance to the vaporetto station.
Take the No. 2 vaporetto (water bus) in the direction of San Zaccaria.
Get off at the Zaccaria stop, turn right, cross the stone bridge, and continue walking along the waterfront until you reach the Gabrielli Sandwirth.
