The five-star Luna Hotel Baglioni is said to be Venice's oldest hotel, dating back to the Crusades.
It's less flashy and more intimate than many of Venice's top luxury hotels, and it has a perfect location on the Bacino di San Marco just a few meters west of St. Mark's Square.
Although the Luna Baglioni has its own landing for water taxis, it's also easy to reach on foot from the San Marco Giardinetti waterbus stop, which is served by airport boats of Alilaguna's Linea Blu and Linea Arancio.
As you leave the boat station, turn left and cross a small stone bridge.
Continue a few meters to the Calle Vallaresso and turn right.
Walk straight ahead down the Calle Vallaresso, past Harry's Bar and a row of designer shops.
The Luna Hotel Baglioni's entrance will be on your right, before you reach the corner.
