You're unlikely to go wrong with any of the hotels on this page. All are within a one- to 10-minute walk of the station, where trains from Mestre to Venice run frequently from early morning until late in the evening. (Tickets are cheap, and the trip takes only 10 to 12 minutes.)
The Venezia Mestre railway station is also served by ATVO Fly Buses from Venice Marco Polo airport.
When you've clicked through to a hotel page, click the "Check location" mini-map below the search box to see the hotel's exact location.
Best Western Hotel Bologna
The Bologna is an outstanding hotel, especially for the price. Services include a book exchange, free Wi-Fi, and free Internet terminals in the lobby. Parking is available, and you can choose from two restaurants (with gluten-free products in the breakfast room by special request). Check lowest available rates, reviews, and availability:
The Plaza is modern, with 210 guest rooms. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, parking is available at the "Parking Stazione" next door, and there's a stylish bistro-café, the Soul Kitchen, at street level.
The Tritone is a renovated 1960s hotel with free Wi-Fi and parking next door. Like the Bologna and Plaza, it has high ratings from guests who have reserved through our booking partner.
This 27-room hotel is a few meters west of the Best Western Hotel Bologna: Just turn left after crossing the street from the railroad station, and you'll see the Trieste ahead of you. Wi-Fi is free at the Trieste, and on-site parking is available for a fee.
This popular three-star hotel is less than a block west of the train station. As you leave the stazione or the ATVO Fly Bus, cross at the light and head left past the Best Western Hotel Bologna.
The 13-room Hotel Cortina is just beyond the Hotel Plaza on the Via Piave (the street that runs perpendicular to the railroad station's main entrance). Wi-Fi is free. So is parking, but be sure to mention your need for a free parking space on the reservation form.
We enjoyed our stay at the Cris, which is an easy 10-minute walk from the train station. (Buses to Venice also stop on the Via Piave near the hotel.) The villa-style hotel has complimentary Wi-Fi, plus free parking behind a remotely-actuated gate in a paved and fenced courtyard.
Hotel Villa Constanza ***
This attractive 26-room hotel is next door to the Hotel Cris. Parking is available for a fee, and breakfast is extra, but there's no charge for Wi-Fi. (You'll also get a free welcome drink.)
Hotel Piave ***
With 45 rooms, the Piave is bigger than many hotels in Venice and Mestre. It's just off the Via Piave, a few blocks north of the Venezia Mestre railroad station and on a bus route to Venice. Wi-Fi is free, and paid parking is available.
This hotel is on the Via Semaglia, just east of the Via Piave (the busy street that runs north from the main entrance of the railroad station). To reach the hotel, turn right immediately after walking past the public gardens. The hotel's amenities include free Wi-Fi and on-site paid parking.
The Regit is about 150 meters or a tenth of a mile from the train station. (After crossing the street from the station, head right to the Via Cappuccina, then turn left and walk another short block.) The 27-room hotel has free Wi-Fi and a patio where breakfast is served in good weather.
The Ambasciata has 20 rooms, free Wi-Fi, and parking (for a fee). The hotel is slightly west and north of the railroad station on the Via Fagaré.
The Montepiana has free parking, an unusual perk for a hotel in its location and price range. Wi-Fi is also free. The hotel is a short walk from the station along the Via Piave and the Via Monte San Michele.
